A Los Angeles Tradition Since 1984
Since 1984, Al Salam Live Poultry has proudly served Los Angeles with fresh poultry, traditional values, and a commitment to quality. Founded by Egyptian immigrants, Al Salam became a unique part of East L.A., bringing together cultures, traditions, and communities through fresh food.
In 2012, the Los Angeles Times featured our story, highlighting how the shop became a bridge between Latino and Middle Eastern families while staying dedicated to poultry prepared the traditional, halal way. Four decades later, our mission is the same: fresh, quality poultry with honesty, respect, and care.
